The DirecTiVo will only work with DirecTV. Please use the search button...

Not to record anything.....

You would only be able to playback material you already recorded.

Your DirecTV doesn't has the necessary hardware to record from a Comcast (or any other providers) feed. It also gets it's guide data from DirecTV as well.

Money,security,etc and they didn't need a video encode mpg2/4 chip to store and replay sat. data on a DirecTV DVR/TiVo .
