I'm guessing this is a pending hard drive failure, but I had an unusual failure last night. While recording 2 programs on my R10 DirectTV unit (70 hours recording time), the programs overlapped during the last 1/2 hour.
The first program that started recording actually kept the audio track that it had started with, but switched to the video for the 2nd show once that one started. The 2nd show recorded only the audio but no video at all (stayed at the now playing screen for that program).
Could someone please confirm if this is a standard pending hard drive failure?
If so, I've seen some of the Weaknees information indicating problems working with the R10 unit hard drives. Since it still seems to work (except for intermittent failure) okay, can I still copy it like one of these forums indicates?
