Just replacing my well worn Tivo control and come across a minor problem.
I can't get the new remote to turn the TV on/off.
Gone through all the codes Tivo shows and those on Tivo Portal and no joy.
Codes tried with Vol/Mute/Number success were
0012
0028
0208
That leaves
0018
0131
0143
0204
0211
0286
0312
0313
0325
0043
0067
0075
0117
0130
0136
which either just have volume or not work at all.
Just can't seem to find any notes or anything that I made when I first set the old control up.
Any suggestions of alternative codes or a way to get it working. Found mention of the 0999 code and using Channel up but couldn't get that working as I thought it would.
Please feel free to point me in the right direction of the thread that I have missed if that is the case.
Regards,
Andy

I have the 36FS70 and can control it from my Tivo peanut and from my new Harmony 885, and for that matter from the Kameleon 6 in 1 which I have just sold. I don't recall any difficulty setting it up with the Peanut (3 years ago) and had no problem at all with the 2 URCs.
I know this does not answer your question, but it should reassure you that there is a solution out there.
Not sure what other help I can give - let me know.

Have you tried adding 1000 to the the listed codes?
e.g.
1018
1131
etc

This may be slightly off topic, but I've recently been trying to train my new Harmony URC to control my other TV. I don't have an original remote for that TV, but my Kameleon URC (the one I have just sold via ebay and am waiting to post) was able to take a download from the web site and could turn the TV on and off OK. I then tried to use the Kameleon to train the Harmony. It worked, but would only turn off and not turn on. After using both controllers to turn the set on and off several times it stopped responding to any of the various on/ off buttons on both controllers. I could only fix this by re-running the set up of the TV (fortunately the channel selector buttons could turn the TV on and the menu button still worked).
Not sure why this happened, but may be worth a try for you.

Although I recently bought a Harmony 885 which does work the Tivo I have also bought a new Tivo peanut of ebay. This is mainly because the wife does not like the Harmony  but partly because I have to concede, the peanut is the best designed remote I have ever had. At £6 it seemed a bargain. However, now I'm not so sure.
It works perfectly in every respect except, as with Andy below, I can't make it turn my Sony 36FS70 TV on. I can get it to control mute, volume and power OFF. But it will not control power ON.
I have tried all the codes on the Tivo screen. I have also tried all of them with a 1 in place of the leading 0. In all cases it will control volume and mute, but not power (not even power off).
Next I tried the scanning search option where I typed 0999 after pressing the Tivo and standby buttons together. I scanned up and down and got it to control power OFF (but not power ON) after 12, 26 and 205 upclicks, and after 10, 21, 22 and 114 down clicks. Thats over 300 options in total.
Do I just keep searching, and if so, how many options are there? The manual says there are hundreds. Is that 900?
Any ideas? I know that when I first got my Sony TV I had no difficulty programming my peanut to control it. So what has changed? Are these cheap but apparently new remotes on ebay not all they appear to be?

Like you I did the scan and settled on the 1st one I found that controlled the power, but that doesn't have the Mute working , will live with that.
Guess it must be something about the units. Even looked inside the battery compartment to see if the pcb code differed but it doesn't. It may be related as well, a colleague at work bought one of the controllers from ebay and still hasn't been been able to get it to control his TV ( Goodmans I think ) so maybe not all 'Peanuts' are made equal.

Please confirm - did the code you found via the scanning method allow you to both power off and power on? I can only power off.
Do you recall whether you were scanning upwards or downwards and roughly how many clicks?
Thanks

Scanning up and it was the first code it found I used. It turns the TV on and off.
Was approx 6 to 8 clicks up from memory.
Tried further up and no joy so settled on this one.
Wouldn't it be nice if there was a keypad option that would flash the inbuilt LED to show the code in use, save all this!
