Hope somebody can help me with the following, as I can’t seem to find an answer anywhere.
I have had my Tivo for a good few years now and a few weeks ago the cabinet got moved and it stopped making its daily call. I have done all the usual things regarding the modem connection, including opening up and testing the connector on the mobo. All connections seem fine and cannot see anything wrong. Has to be a failure inside Tivo on the modem. I then tried to do a complete factory reset. (Now wish I hadn’t!) :mad: Is there a way for me to bypass the initial set up, as it cannot complete without the call. I am thinking about a long-term solution i.e. connecting via the net (Turbo net) but currently would just like to get it working as a straight recorder for now.
