View Full Version : Can I transfer programs from Sony SVR2000 to Humax DRT800?

I just bought the Humax today and can live without most of the stuff I've recorded on the SVR2000. But I would love to be able to save this season (so far) of 24. I'm blinded by "The Velvet".

Thanks in advance for your help. I hope I'm in the right forum. If not, please redirect me to the proper one.

Thanks.

PS: the Humax tech support suggested connecting the two via composite A/V cables, then playing from one and recording to the other. Will this work? Haven't tried it yet.

It'll work if your Humax is set up to recieve video through the composit input, but you'll be stuck with mislabeled recordings.

Are there any for this procedure anywhere? I have a new TV for the Humax and am retiring the SVR2000 after I get the 24 eps off of it. Is there a down and dirty quick way to get this done?

Its simple, hook the SVR2000 A/V out to the A/V in on the Humax, that recording, and play on the Sony.

Do that for each recording.

Thanks classicsat and mick66, I'll give it a shot.
