Partial recordings

Has anyone had issues lately with TiVo doing partial recordings?

I had mine record Stargate SG1, Atlantis and BSG last night and all recordings were about 55 minute partials.

It's happened several times over the past week... anyone else see this?

Apparently there is a problem with the new 7.21 software. Many are suggesting to turn off overlap protection until they get it fixed.

TiVo personnel posted to do a cold reboot by pulling the power cord for at least 10 seconds and then plug it back in. They also asked for users to post whether that helps along with stating whether they have overlap protection on or off. Since they are asking about overlap protection, it sounds to me like they don't know if it is or is not overlap protection. Furthermore some posters complained they were having the problem even with overlap protection off.

So I would suggest you try the reboot.

Just thought I'd throw my hat in the ring on this issue too. I thought it was just me. My TiVo is cutting off all my shows seven minutes before their scheduled end time. Glad to know it's not just me. Overlap protection is turned off. And I've done the reboot already. I'm hoping that works. I've noticed this problem now for going on two weeks.
