Hello,
I am using a Tivo DVR Series 2 that I have had working great for the last six months ago, originally I had done the guided setup on a landline and then started using a wired adapter (Linksys USB200M) for my data downloads and everything worked great... UNTIL... today I had to repeat guided setup because of some channel changes and I wanted to add a cable splitter so I could watch TV and record at the same time.. I restarted guided setup thinking that I could use my network adapter for the task because I have no phone line.
I am now unable to get my tivo to work properly with the network as it is giving me the error "your network adapter has not been set up for use with the dvr (NO8)". This shouldn't be happening since this is the same network adapter and no settings have changed since it was working fine an hour ago! I even tried using a wireless adapter I have (Netgear WG111) to use my wireless network, and it is giving me the same error.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, or do I have to go find another phoneline to repeat guided setup so I can get past it and use the network adapters again?
