Reversed wiring

I plugged in my TIVO to an electrical outlet that had the wiring reversed....Now it doesnt power up, no light, nothing...worked fine before. Does anyone know if there is a reset button or what failure mode I could be experiencing?

I doubt a TiVo could tell the difference. I assume you mean that hot and neutral were reversed?

Are you sure the outlet you're using now works properly? Might there have been something else wrong with the outlet before (say, 220v)?
