dtv n tivo hardrives

Hi new guy here
can a hardrive addon out of a dtv unit be added to a series one tivo unit
are any parts out of dtv units usable on tivo units
cancelled dtv and have 2 sony recorders
and 1 tivo lifetime for cable

yes after it has been programmed

not likely other than hard drive

Check out Weaknees' step-by-step instructions at the top of the Tivo Upgrade Center Forum here. You can use those old DTV Recorder hard drives with the MFS Tools ... just pretend they're new unformatted drives.

thanks for the quick reply one more can both hardrives out of sony dtv go int sony svr 200 with out formating
