Just paid for an install including OTA. I wasn't home when he came to install (wife was there). Just got home and I am getting 85% + signal all channels OTA.
The Lazy Install just stuck the Antenna in between Coax Cables @ my wire home run location in the basement. I guess I don't mind not having the ugly thing on the roof......Would I get better reception from Attic or Roof your just be happy with what I got....

Umm...
Seems to me if you're getting 85% signal strength in the BASEMENT, you sure would get better in the attic, not to mention the roof.
Now, some people say the attic is better because it usually doesn't have the wind problems an outdoor/roof antenna would have; with your getting 85% in the basement, my guess is attic would be very good and you shouldn't worry about outdoor at all.
I'd call them at least and ask why the guy put the antenna in the BASEMENT when you had both an attic and a roof for him to work with.
See what they say. (Don't talk to him...talk to someone he answers to.)
Others might have a few different ideas to add to or contradict this...

That's what I was thinking about attic. I already have cable run to location.
When it warms up, I just climb up there and plug it in.

how close are you to the towers? maybe a coat hanger out the back of your tv would suffice!
