I have two TIVO's one has 40 gb drive and the other has an 80 gb drive. I was wondering if anyone here knows if it is at all possible to place the data from these two hard drives into one larger drive for a TIVO. The 40 gb drive has software 3.xx
and the 80 gb one has software 7.xx

You can basically put any working hard drives into any Tivo unit, but you cannot just stick them in. They need to programmed in Linux per Hinsdale. All the instructions and info in the stickies at the top of this forum.

Just use the mfsadd command in MFSTools to add the new B drive to an existing single drive setup. Refer to Hinsdale's How To for instructions. Note that you will lose whatever programming or recordings you have on the 2nd drive when you install it as a B drive.

can I take an added on hard drive out of a dtv sat 60sony and put it in a svr 200 sony
are dtv recievers stand alone or are the parts usable in tivo recievers as well

Data, not, the drive itself, yes. Its not really recommended to run two disks that small together in S2s though.
