Cancelling whishlists temporarily.

I have 120 whishlists, half movie stars, half directors, is there an easy way to cancel them temporarily while i go away for 2 weeks, i dont want movies filling up my h/d and stopping me recording various series, which i always watch. I obviously do not want to cancel 120 then have to redo them.

You can't do anything to them "en masse" so you would have to go through them one-by-one (and good luck with that ;)) but you can, of course, stop then from auto-recording by simply changing the appropriate setting from within each WL item.

I've asked the same question (almost) myself. The answer was not really. "turn TiVo off" was the best suggestion which is pretty unrealistic if you want to record some things.

I find that the best solution (I have an internet visible Tivo) is to web onto the box daily and do a tidy up of the ToDo list. I've been doing it for the pasy 6 weeks as my house is being refurbished and I still want TiVo to record the shows from Sky that I can't get where I am now.

Anyway, when I was away for 7 months, I set my TiVos favourite season passes to keep until I delete.

That way when they filled up the wishlist recordings were automatically removed.

Erm... I think there's some confusion here. As I understand it, only 'suggestions' are ever deleted to make way for other recordings, including 'wishlists'. Unless one or both of you meant suggestions and not wishlists? I know I'm certainly :confused: now :)

How about removing the movie channels from the "Channels I receive" would that stop the majority that would be recorded?

They are NOT deleted to make room for season passes. Only suggestions are.

However if your disk is filling up the shows that are 'Keep until I delete (whether season passes or wishlists) will be saved and any non-keep until I delete gets deleted first depending on whether they have 'keep until 5 days, 4 ,3 ,2 or 1 day' set.

Don't forget you can prioritise any combination of wishlists and season passes , each with their own keep until dates.

Unfortunatley i am on freeview with tivo, so the films are recorded off terrestrial channels, so i cannot delete them, i have a 120gig h/d so i may well be ok, thanks guys for all your idea`s. derek.
