HD Tivo Changing Channel to Record

Twice now, my HD TiVo has changed the channel for recording Invasion from 87 to 86 in the To Do list. I have a season pass on channel 87. When it first happened last week, I ignored it figuring a fat finger somewhere. This time, I'm sure that changed on it own.

To answer some questions:
1) I'm TiVo savvy: I've had DirecTiVos since 1999, including DTV Series 1 and DTV Series 2 models. I do not remember this behavior ever on any of my boxes in the past nor now (I have one of each).
2) I do not now nor have I ever had a season pass on channel 86: I do not receive this channel.
3) I reboot the boxes weekly.
4) There is no conflict with my season passes during the 10:02 - 11:00 PST timeframe on Wednesday night.
5) None of my season passes on Wednesday night have any padding either before or after the guide's recording times.
6) I did not remove 86 from my "channels you receive" list, but have done so now. I was avoiding this due to the notorious "lose favorites list" issues with the channel lists as documented in the sticky thread in the DirecTiVo forum. This is also the reason I reboot all my boxes weekly.

Anybody else running into this?

The "lost faviroties list" is a bug is not as big as the threads make it seem, but you are not changing your favorites,... you are changing your channels you recieve. There is a difference.


You did the proper fix by removing it from the list.

did you set this up as an auto-record WISHLIST or a Season Pass?
As Season Passes are channel specific, where WishList go to the first channel they find the match on.

1) I referred to the "lost favorites" thread, as this is where the problem of losing all channels received, with the subsequent emptying out of the To Do list, problem is best documented. After my weekly reboots and some of the software updates on the Standard DTiVos, I have not seen this problem in awhile. However, the HD TiVo is running an older software version and I have seen this problem documented in this forum -- still -- somewhat recently.

2) I'm using a season pass as stated, not a wishlist.
