The fan in my upgraded (2 drives) Tivo finally gave up after a couple of years the other day. When I ordered the new fan, I just purchased a kit from Weaknees that also had the power trip module. During the install I accidently installed the power trip in-line with the slave drive instead of the master. Now, when I power up the Tivo it just sits at the Powering Up screen. My question is if the installation of the power trip could have been the problem (as in the Tivo started to boot without the second drive) or was it complete coincidence. Anyone have any ideas where I should go from here? I've tried replacing both HD cable and power splitter. Are there any software repair tools? Thanks.
