I have been trying to follow Hinsdale's upgrade, but have been having some hardware problems. I have been trying to put a new larger disk into my Sony SVR-2000 without losing my wishlists and season passes.
When finally got all my disks visible, my old A disk showed as 10 MB as predicted. I ran qunlock (foolishly as I now see), but it never completed. I tried to qunlock the other drive on the secondary IDE bus. That never completed either. I may have also run it on the the first disk again :( .
I did some more reading and downloaded Kazymyr's boot CD, but booting with it also shows 10 Mb.
I am a newbie with Linux, and after the last few days I see how rusty I have become with PC hardware. Is there some way to see how big drives are from a Linux CLI?
The drive now works fine in my TiVo, but still shows up as 10 MB.
Assuming that I have to put a new system on my new big A drive, is there any way to move my wishlists and season passes from my old A drive to the new big one?
Thanx,
John
