Hey Guys, i have a question about taking something from a HR10-250 to DVD. My HD set just went down so I have no way of testing it at the moment, but I'm wondering If I record something in HD on the DVR and than take it to my PC thru a HDTV all in wonder card and than burn it to disc. When I play it back on a HD set will it be in HD or SD? Thanks for any and all info!

I believe when you burn it to DVD it will be in 480i format.

yup the video out by composite or svideo will only be in sd 480i. it should be good picture and all but not true hd. Burning to a dvd is not HD either.
if you have a HDTV AIW why not just record in ota with it to your PC.

Current DVDs aren't able to record High Def.
That's why the creation of HD-DVD and blu-Ray...which is also able to record and reproduce HD from a disc.
And the format war continues, holographic format DVD now being added to the mix...
