Router problems

I've had my Tivo making its daily call via the net for some time using a Netgear DG834 router. I recently upgraded to an Netgear DG834GT wireless version and now my Tivo cannot connect to make its daily call. I've plugged my DG834 back in and it works fine. Does anyone have any ideas?

Do the routers have the same IP? If not you'll have to change either the IP of the new router or the default gateway on the tivo.

I have the DG834GT too - and if I recall correctly, the default IP for the router is 192.168.0.1 - what did you set your TiVo to be? 192.168.1.200 is the norm if I recall correctly.

My Tivo IP address is 192.168.0.101, my router is 192.168.0.1 so that should be Ok? My ISP is Wanadoo.

Try setting the non working routers MTU to 1500.
