So, what turned out to be your favorite NEW series that has started since Fall?

Wow. I was thinking about all the new shows that have started and been cancelled this season and am happy to see my favorite new show, Criminal Minds, is still in the ballgame!

Second favorite: Close to Home


To be honest, I don't think I have many season passes left for any other new shows. (hubby loves Bones) and we both still watch (Ghost Whisperer), but that is getting blah lately.

What is your favorite of the remaining new shows of the season??

Out of this season's crop of n00bs, I have to go with "Bones." But I also like "Criminal Minds" and "Surface."

"Grey's Anatomy" gets a special mention because I didn't start watching it until this fall.

Other shows I watch How I met Your Mother and Earl, but those are average at best.

I think this is one of the worst new seasons of shows I can remember, and that is saying a lot considering how bad every year seems to be.

Supernatural (wife can't watch it, I like it)
Surface (wife tolerates it, I think it's not bad)
Criminal Minds (wife hates it, I think it's uneven but ok)
Prison Break (wife hates it, I watch it but it makes me mad)

We had watched a few other ones, but they were all canceled.

I have high hopes for Love Monkey; it's recorded but unwatched so far.

I'm surprised no one listed Commander In Chief; it had a lot of buzz. I gave up on it in the first episode personally. For some reason, alternate-reality political shows (West Wing, Jack and Bobby, this one) just don't do it for me.

Yeah same here! New to me when I started TiVoing them from ABC Family Channel. I got through 5 whole seasons in the summer and then this fall I got to watch it Season 6 onwards. It sucks to be all caught up and waiting for a new episode... :(

Earl and Everybody hates Chris are the only two I really like. I'd just about given up on the sitcom form bt adding these two to Scrubs and AD have given me new hope.

Those are the only three that still merit a SP on my Tivo. I kept HIMYM for a good while and I do love Doogie, but it wasn't strong enough to stick around and I dropped the SP. I can't stand Ted.

But as much as I enjoy those three new shows, none of them compares to the shows in their sophomore seasons:

Veronica Mars
The Office
Lost
Grey's Anatomy

Those four shows are certainly not suffering from the sophomore slump imho. Lost might be a little weaker than last year but I still like those four better than any of the new shows. VM, the Office and GA continue to get better and better imho.

I've watched Prison Break, it's ok, but nothing else that's new. At least on the major networks. (I like the Colbert Report) It's probably the worst season for new shows in my memory.
