By the name of this episode maybe Marissa or Johnny will hurtle to their deaths! :p

So speculation... Is Johnny dead, mamed or what? Finally we can move on maybe until the next charity case comes along and catches Marissa's eye!

P.S. They didn't make 14 year olds like that when I was that age!

Actually, they did make at least one 14-year-old like that when I was that age. I had a heck of a crush on her, too. Never did tell her.

If Johnny was going to do something stupid like that, couldn't he at least have fallen directly on Marissa? What a waste.

From the preview, Johnny looked like he bit the big one. Will the dean at Harbor School blame Marissa for this one too?

And remember, Caitlyn did just turn 15 in the last episode (or the one before - they're all a blur).

So naturally Johnnie is dead and Marissa will get to blame Ryan. Want some cheese with that "whine" Marissa? She is so annoying.

I am kind of glad Johnny is gone. I got so tired of him crying about how bad his life was. . blah blah blah.

We all have problems dude!

Summer: If you keep not telling me things you will turn into one of those creepy old men who keeps a secret stash of p*rn and money.

Seth: First off, that's awesome. Second ....

LOL!

HFC, how many times did Marissa say "I, I, I, me, me, me" this episode?

If next week doesn't wow me, I think I'll wait to finish season 3 on DVD. And hell, I may not even watch it then.

Maybe Ryan will luck out and his brother Trey will come back seeking revenge against Marissa.. :D

I hope so...then Taylors mom can institute public stoning! Death to Marissa!

Dang, is there any female TV character who inspires more loathing than Marissa? And I don't mean villainesses who are supposed to be loathed.

And Taylor's mom -- she's played by Paula Trickey, who got my wheels spinning when she was on Pacific Blue. But man, now she looks like she got rode hard and put away wet. :(

I nominate Taylor to make the t-shirts and buttons! :D

Lucy on 7th Heaven gives her a run for the money.

But the difference is that Lucy could manage most anywhere; she'd give a lot of self-absorbed whining, for sure, but she'd manage. Marissa would just curl up and cry. For some reason she gave up curling up and drinking or curling up and popping pills or curling up and drinking while popping pills.

Well, I'll be the voice of dissent and say that Marissa doesn't bother me that much at all. She does her share of whining at times, but she's no more annoying to me than any of the other teen characters can get. They are all a bit of a charicature, Marissa of the rich girl, Summer of the airhead bitch, Seth of the lovable awkward geek and Ryan as the brooding hero. Taken to the extreme, any of them jump to annoying. The writers just seem to take Marissa to the extreme more often.

Actually, I found Ryan much worse in this episode. Instead of talking about our relationship and our feelings for each other, why don't I just cut you completely out and then make you beg me to take you back. Real mature.

First off, good riddance, Jonny.

Secondly, I suspect that because Katelin snagged Julie's tequila, somehow Julie Cooper will be partly blamed for the death. Jonny's mom certainly seemed like she was encouraging his relationship with Marissa for financial reasons. And she will surely be looking for someone to blame. Not to mention how Marissa and Ryan will fare with another mysterious death on their hands!

I liked Seth's comment that he was a dork with a mumbling problem! Also his telling summer that he had been burning incense and had had some really bad gas was funny. Seth is funny while high! Although actually enjoying Save the Last Dance was a bit of a stretch! :) And he needs to learn how to hide his stash a little better. :)

Maybe the writers are getting what they want.....everyone to hate the rich, whining, has her cake and eats it too, Marissa. But the show could not go on without her and all of us keep watching.
I say Seth is the next "needy" case Marissa takes under her wing and then we have a brand new triangle, or is that a square with Katlin?!

OK, I'm pretty sure it was this episode where Julie was trying to setup Summer's dad in order to try to spark his interest again.

Well if you look closely at the woman he goes on a date with in the restaurant when Julie spies on him, you might see someone most of us should recognize.

That's right, Morena Baccarin.

I was shocked and pleasantly surprised.

I'm glad that the Firefly cast are finding jobs!
