Hello Everyone! I hate to ask this question because Im sure it has been asked many many times... I have been searching these forums and have yet to find an answer...

I have two Tivo's..

R-10 and a old Phillips DSR6000R1

What is the best way to transfer my recordings (ppv movies mainly) to Disk?

I have a home network with laptop and desktop, the newer laptop has a dvd burner in it.

Thanks for you time in reading this!

Eric

I have a burner connected to my D*Tivo. I just hit Play on the Tivo, Record on the burner, and walk away. I've burned over 200 disks this way.

I hope that is not my only choice, I am really hoping I can use the burner on my laptop. Is that possible?

You can hack the Philips to enabled some forms of networking...

As for the R10.. Nope... You would need to use an external video capture device.
(well there are options for the R10, but those require you to pull a chip off the motherboard and replace it with a "tweaked" version of the chip)
