I presently have a 120G tivo drive that already been expanded using the Hinsdale instructions. I want to replace it with a 300G drive, but I want to save the season pass and settings. If I use PTVnet tools to create the 300G drive I will lose them. Does anyone know of a web page or instructions how to "re" expand the 120 G drive to the 300G drive?

Make a list and check it twice... of your season passes.

Re-expand is easy, the shrink command "-s" will reduce the partitions used to the origanal drive size and let you use that image on a new larger drive that will be expanded. Be sure to increase your swap size.

So.... make a backup image with the -s command, then image the new drive (using the interactive Weaknees instructions PTV boot disk
http://www.ptvupgrade.com/products/software/lba48/index.html (LBA48 support). I don't know if your season passes will be saved. I know that your recordings will not be saved.

Good Luck!

You can do a backup|restore with the -s option in backup. Yes, recordings are lost, but settings are retained.
