Hi all
I've been a Tivo user now for a few years. I have basic requirements. So far, the only "freakyy" thing I've done is to upgrade the 40GB to 120GB. That was a good 2-3 years ago.
Since then, the original drive has been stored in the loft and the 120GB has been spinning ever since. I am concious that sooner or later, this drive will fail and chances are, this is the most likely component to fail.
if this happens and I reattach my original 40GB, will Tivo simply download all the updates since it was last using the 40GB or is it better if I just buy another 120GB drive and occasionally clone the disk?
If it ever dies, my GF and my daughter will murder me so its in my interests to make sure my "disaster recovery" plans are in place! :p Am so worried that I've even bought spare remotes and a spare PSU from eBay!!! My GF has said, if we ever split up, the only thing we'd fight over is Tivo!
