Is my TIVO dead?

:( My series 1 tivo will not responding to the remote (brand new batteries), and when I unplug it & plug it back in, the green (receiving) lights comes on but I do not see the tivo rebooting. (TV & TIVO both on channel 3)

I have checked all the connections and still no tivo.

It it dead? If not, what do you suggest?

Dead... the Hard Drive probably is gone.

You can try to replace the hard drive... but the cost of the hard drive, plus getting a image for it... will be more expensive then replacing it.
