Networking 2 Tivo boxes

I currently have 1 tivo series 2 box (Entertainment Room) and would like to know if i bought a 2nd box (Bedroom), without activating the 2nd box for my bedroom could i network the 2 boxes so that, i can record on the entertainment room box and then pull up anything i recorded on the 2nd box?

Only series 2 boxes are typically able to be networked for multi-room tranfers.
And both have to have subscribed

That second TiVo will cost only $6.95 a month for service, BTW. So the bite out of your wallet won't be as bad as it could be.
