I've never had any issues w/ TiVoToGo before but now my TiVo Desktop does not see my TiVo. I haven't made any changes to my network but now if I try to see what's on my TiVo, I get the "No DVR's are on the network" error.

Here's the interesting part: My TiVo shows my PC in the Now Playing list and I can transfer shows onto the TiVo with no problems.

Things I've tried:

-Verified XP & TiVo are on the same network
-Rebooting XP & my router
-Clearing all cache & TiVo Transfer files that's stored in the hidden Application Data folder
-Turning off the XP firewall (it's the only one I have on the system).
-XP firewall has TiVo Desktop in on it's exceptions

The PC was just freshly installed w/ XP 2 months ago, and I"m a computer guru so there's definitly nothing malicious on the system. Does anyone have any ideas as to why I can't see the TiVo on the PC?

Thanks!

Do you have more than one network adapter active in the PC? Perhaps TiVo Desktop started using the wrong adapter recently.

You mentioned rebooting the router and your PC, but did you try rebooting the TiVo?

Can you hit your NPL via your web browser (i.e., https://{your-tivo-IP})? If you can't, TiVo Desktop won't be able to connect to it either. Sometimes it seems the http server on the TiVo will crash or hang or otherwise stop servicing requests.

I haven't tried this but I will when I get home.

Also my PC only has 1 wireless NIC. The built-in NIC is disabled.

Okay, so I rebooted my TiVo & this issue still exists. I'm going to reinstall the TiVo desktop and see what happens. If it's still not working, I'm calling TiVo.
I'll post my results to this thread for archival purposes.

Were you able to connect to the https port on your TiVo via your browser? Just curious.

Also, make sure you've entered your MAK correctly in TiVo Desktop.

I didn't get to try the HTTPS thing, but reinstalling the TiVo Desktop after deleting all hidden folders & cleaning the registry seemed to do the trick. If anyone is reading this in the future w/ the same problem, be sure to remove the TiVo folders in Application Data & also the Shared Resources folder.

To clean the registry I used TweakNow. It's good & free.
