Hello everyone!
I have Tivo on two TV's in my house and love it. Indispensible! We got our new HD TV and it looks like ka-ka because my HD Digital cable box can't output component to my Tivo, only S-video!
Tivo box nicely has component output to TV so DVD's look great, but TV signal is only as good as S-video. :(
I've been looking and looking but I can't seem to find one of two things:

Either a new Tivo box with component input OR

New Tivo box with cable card that will unscramble/decode all the digital cable signal coming in from the wall.

Anyone know of either beast?

Thanks!

Sounds like you'll need to wait for the Series 3 Tivo box (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=280411&highlight=ces+s3) to come out later this year. Or perhaps a DirecTV version of an HD DVR. Thereare several posts here that you can search for, for more info.

I have my tivo connected to my HD cable box. While the tivo recording on HD channels is not quite as good as HD, it's still quite a bit better than the "digital" cable channels. Plus, I like the fact that I can watch/record in widescreen (as long as I zoom my tv display).

It works for now... *G*
