Hello All

I have a stand alone phillips tivo connected to a samsung hi def receiver on directv. I have noticed a hum in the background. No changes had been made to cause this. The hum is not from the amp (I checked). I suspect the tivo is the weakest link. I cleaned all the rca connectors (no good). I have also noticed that the balance on the amp had to be moved more to the right to get equal sound.

Any suggestions? Tivo is about 4 yrs old. all other functions work on it. Has anyone experienced audio problems like this?

If it is time to replace the unit. What suggestions might you have for its replacement? Sorry this is so long. Just trying to remedy the problem.

I rewired amp, tivo, hdtc receiver and tv to the same circuit. Can't get rid of the uzzing sound. Anyone have any suggestions? Since the unit is 3+ yrs old, could it just be giving up the ghost? Thanks
