Our tivo sometimes does something other than what we tell it to do.

:confused: Last night, we set the tivo up to record 24 at 7:00. It independently recorded a completely different show and titled it 24 on the correct channel. Why does it do this and what can we do to get the right program recorded?

More info please. A TiVo can't put a different show on a channel. Only a network can do that.

Some possibilities:

Program delayed or rescheduled.
IR blaster misread. (Are you using IR? If so, look at the beginning of the recording and watch how the cable box responds to the IR.)

24 did start about 15 mnutes late due to the football game. If you go forward 15 minutes, do you see 24?

If not, this sounds like a channel-changing problem.
