View Full Version : Flat RG6 cable for windows
Does anyone have experience with the flat RG6 cable that is designed to go through a closed window frame? It presents the easiest option for me but need to know if it works.
Thanks.

I used some for a while.
I was renting for a few months and wanted a quick solution that did not cause any holes.
I did not have any problems.

They will work but aren't totally flat. I was able to route them around the jam of a sliding glass door with some difficulty. If you have any complex window seals, you may not be able to close your window.

Just make sure you dont open and close that window or door a lot and it will last a long time

Well, I never had a problem with mine despite opening and closing the windows and doors a lot, and never had a problem with being able to close those windows and doors. The flat cables worked perfectly for years. I guess YMMV, but if they're a risk, I'd definately say they're a good one.
Thanks for the assistance...
