Can TiVo play back shows recorded on Windows MCE without jumping through any hoops?
Thanks

If you can get the recorded content into an Mpeg2 format, it's supposed to go through fine.
No personal experience.

Depends on what you define as a hoop. There is software out there that can extract standard MPEG-2 data from an MCE program. However it takes a few minutes per recording to make the conversion. Also when you transfer a standard MPEG-2 file to a TiVo it will not have any guide data, which means it wont group or have any identifying information other then the file name.

Besides what you could do today, I am hoping TiVo's strategy is to work smoothly with ViiV and the MSFT thingy to have an MCE work smoothly through a TiVo attached to the TV.
