Alright, I've got some serious problems. I have a dual LNB dish, got a multiswitch, and they just said I can't use it for 4 receivers. That I would need an LNB for each receiver. That's absolutely insane, DTV doesn't even make 4 LNB dishes. What's going on here? Has anyone had any trouble with DTV telling them otherwise?

For standard DirecTV, to hook up 4 receivers, you need a dual LNB and a multi switch. 2 cables from the dish go into the multi switch and 4 cables out, 1 to each receiver.

I think you should call D* and tell them they are wrong. THEY need 4 csr's to get one correct answer.
Really you should be fine with the multiswitch as long as you have enough inputs and outputs. They may be confusing with some of the newer dishes perhaps.

Alright, called back, got a different rep, said the exact same thing I said the first time, and they set it up fine. Seriously, how do some of the CSRs keep their jobs? Flippin moron.

;) heres a riddle for you! How many directv csr's does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
Answer: 5. 1 to hold the bulb and 4 to read the script! ;)
