View Full Version : 3 LNB Satellite Dish question?

Today I tried to help a buddy of mine change his Old Dish with a new Oval one with three LNBs. He has two R10s and is about to add a HD dvr of some sort. But we were only able to get signal on the B and C satellite. B was in the high 90s and C was in the low to mid 90s. BUT the A satellite had no signal at all on all transponders.
Any ideas? We plan to resume the battle tomorrow.

You may be 9 degrees too far east. If B only has readings on transponders 28, 30 and 32, that is your problem. The B LNB would be accessing the C satellite in that case.

I checked the receiver this morning and we are getting many more than three transponders on Sat B.
Before we get back on the roof we are receiving on Sat. B the transponders: 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, and 32.
On Sat. C we are receiving: 8, 10 , and 12.
Is this still and aiming issue?

If you get banners on channels 492-494, the aim is correct. If that is the case, you could have an obstruction or a hardware problem.
