MP4 box in Detroit

ok folks, heres the deal, my buddy lives in Detroit and wants to upgrade to a HD tivo unit, they(D* tv) are testing there new MP4 boxes there.anyinfo on this?How much are the boxes? are they Tivo? Deals?Sending me to another forum? which one?

The MP4 box is standalone only. No MP4 DVR exists yet, and won't for 6-18 months.
