The new season started. I didn't care too much for the gay druggie, but the bulimic chick, eeewwwwww. She would vomit in a gallon size ziploc bag, which she kept in a chest in her closet and then would stash the filled up vomit bag behind it and throw out the bags ONCE A WEEK! I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

I hope they have a recap at the end of the season like they have done before.

I couldn't believe how oblivious her husband was to what was going on. She really packed it away at the breakfast and pizza buffets.

This show is wickedly sad. I'm addicted to it (um, ha ha.)

The drug guy was an important one to show-crystal meth is a HUGE problem in the gay community and I even heard the other day somewhere that HIV is on the rise again after many years of being well-contained, mostly because of the increase in popularity of meth.

But yeah, I'd think if the woman went and watched herself, she'd realize how sad her life had gotten. Let's hope that helps her stay healthy.

You know what I really appreciate about this show? They're VERY good at updating. Every time a rerun runs, you get an update on that person that is relatively up-to-date.

It's nice to see the successes.

I always look at this show as a quick way to make myself feel better.
So far my problems have looked like peanuts to these peoples issues.

The new episode was the most disturbing one I've seen.

Prediction, that lady will be dead the next time they air this episode

I thought there have been others that were more disturbing. She's at least eating-but I was a bit alarmed that...

she actually lost weight in the treatment facility.

Well..
I think that was her F U I'm still in control even though your sending me to treatment. I just thought the shots of her back and tailbone was gruesome. It really made me look away.

This season has been great.

I actually felt sorry for the girl with the Lyme Disease. It wasn't her fault she was in so much pain. She looked awful first thing in the morning when she tried to walk.

I thought this week's show was more realistic (not that the others before weren't).

It was good to see addictions that I could relate to. I don't know anyone who has a drug addiction, but I know someone who has a food addiction. Also, I could see how kids get addicted to DMX since it's something that's over the counter and not as expensive as the illegal drugs.

I wondered when this would happen.

The guy on the last episode ended up dying after falling off the wagon

I missed that ep. Did he go to intervention?

(BTW, someone needs to change the thread title to a 2008 season long discussion so that we don't have to spoilerize stuff.)

They've been repeating some of the old episodes, but I noticed that there's updates on the updates at the end. Does that make sense? At the end of the each episode there's an updated. Some shows that are a couple years old have a newer update. That's what I meant.

I usually don't watch the repeats, maybe I'll at least watch the end of them for the updates.

I just FF through them until the end to catch that. :)
