I was just watching "My Hand to God" and noticed a continuing joke about geek writers on the Simpsons. Is this some kind of inside joke, is someone on the show married to a Simpsons writer or something?

Never mind, I got the answer from IMDB:

In the episode "Hand to God" (6 March 2005) when Michael is speaking to Lindsay to determine if his former girlfriend Maggie Lizer is actually pregnant with a sperm donor's child, he says "It's probably some geek Simpsons writer's kid." This is a reference to the show's consulting producer Jennifer CritItenden who was a long-time staff writer for The Simpsons.
