Who is this girl he almost married? I don't remember her from last season.

No explanation for the missing Julie Bowen.

the girl he almost married is charlotte ross, who spent 4 seasons on nypd blue before getting married and having a baby. quite frankly, i thought she was the best thing about the whole episoe.

I'd never seen the show before until last night, so I have no clue what season 1 was about. That being said, I thought it was hilarious.. His new "girlfriend" was funny to watch and his Jewish friend was great.. I liked it better then "Emily's Reasons."

Now back to finding those monkey candles on the internet.... ;)

Same here. While I enjoyed it well enough, more so then Reasons Why Not, it seemed to be a pilot to me, not a season premier.

This episode was cute, but it seemed to have lost something since last season. It just didn't seem as funny IMO.

Still good, but not as good as the first season. I'm hoping it gets back up to speed.

Jake In Progress was possibly the most underrated show of last season.

Julie Bowen and Mädchen Amick. Charlotte Ross isn't quite an adequate replacement, yet.


Also, it seemed to be lacking the interaction between Jake and his friends that they had in the first season. Hopefully that will change in future episodes.
