new tivo desktop

I would like to know more information on the new desktop software. I have a Sony PSP and would love to have or test this software. Mostly because I could never get my Tivo shows to burn or transcode correctly. I have a gig stick in my PSP and would love to see this get released. I saw that testing would start right away and release some time this spring. Is this right?

I signed up for the beta which is supposed to automatically transcode to, well at least what I read was for iPod with Video, which is the same format as the PSP.
