I've never watched this show, so I was happy that they had a recap episode. Funny even tho I've never watched, I've seen alot of what they showed. I guess in comerical teasers throughout the seasons. Since nothing else is being Tivo'd, I will set a season pass. so I guess their plan worked, got 1 more viewer off of it.

That's good; at least someopne benefited by this... I do so hate those recap episodes, myself. It's like bait and switch. You get all excited a new episode is on, sit down, and notice it's a recap of what you've already watched. ABC really likes them this season. Editing existing clips is probably cheaper than filming another episode, right? :)
Hey, there's an idea... invite student filmmakers to edit together clips from one series to make a new storyline.

Count me in on somebody that got all excited a new show was coming to find out it was a recap. I still got a couple of laughs out the george recaps. Always good to see izzy.

My TiVo died 39 minutes into this and didn't recover until I unplugged it this morning. It was apparantly stuck on the "Welcome. Powering Up..." screen. I am very much relieved to hear it was a recap show.

My DirecTV guide info had it labelled as the new episode already. I turned on 'All (with duplicates)' for my season pass just in case it won't record next Sunday's episode.

Glad it worked out for TIVO_GUY and the network - but, I'm with Doug and stantonl. They've been doing too many of those.
I watched each episode - and with the storylines on Grey's, just as an example, I don't really need a refresher. It's not that complicated. 'Course, I still watched it and did laugh a few times. :) So, guess the network wins again.

It WAS a new episode, in that it had never aired before. And it was the one that was always intended for last ngiht, so there won't be any issues with the Guide Data. That is, nothing was "bumped" to air this one.

Oh, you're right. It was called 'Straight to the Heart (http://www.tv.com/greys-anatomy/straight-to-the-heart/episode/542065/summary.html)', which sounded like a normal episode to me. I would have thought a recap show would be called something like 'The One To Catch New Viewers Up' or similar.

I tried watching the first episode but wasn't really getting into it. I'd like to thank ABC for this recap. Thanks to it, my interest has grown substantially in this series. The Season Pass has been set.

Put me down in the "I hate clip shows" camp. I recognize the usefulness in catching up new viewers though. What was particularly egregious of this one was what looked like pretty deceptive labeling. "One from the Heart" doesn't say " rehashed content" to me.
I peeked at the ABC web site, they don't list EP13 yet.

While I hate recap episodes, I had missed a couple early episodes, so I suppose it wasn't a complete loss.... Real episode next week, right??

Get that guy who did the "revised" trailer for "Shining." Happenned too long ago, can't remember the link.
I personally don't like recaps, but i'll usually skim them if I normally watch the series. Kinda bored by the Desperate Housewives one recently. Still need to see the one for Grey.

So this recap covered the first season too? I saw most of it over the summer, but they never re-ran the final two episodes.

When the episode first hit the To Do List on my SA, the Guide Data did say it would be a recap episode. Closer to airtime, the description changed.

Lost has got it down right. If you're going to run a clip show, run it the same week and in a different time slot than the new episode. Lost: Revelation runs at 8 PM tomorrow, just in time for people to catch the first full new episode at 9 PM.

Yes, I Googled her images and saw several in particular that can't be accessed right now because I'm at work. :D
I'd like to see more of Katherine as she is now (more grown up).

Thankfully my work doesn't frown too much upon that, and holy smokes, I hadn't seen those particular ones yet!
Fun fact: Angel Cohen of TV Guide's watercooler column (http://www.tvguide.com/tv/watercooler/) just named her newborn baby Isabel, after Katherine's character.
