I about died when on the song when they didn't rhyme with Allen Funt.
ON a cutaway of the house about 15 minutes in, I noticed in the background there was a tall glass building that looked like the WTC with black areas around the areas where the planes had crashed. Anybody else notice this?
One of the better of the new season eps.

Anyone else get the gag with the guys from "American Movie" coming out of the closet with Quagmire?

OK, did anyone else have the issue where the show started about 5 minutes early and therefore tivo cut it off? It may be that it was announced here earlier, I've been on TC hiatus.
That aside, I felt like there was a lack of Peter in this episode. Even though he was in most of the flashbacks, of which there were many.

I was wondering who those guys were. I've never seen "American Movie."
In Houston, the episode started on time.

Which type of TiVo? (SA or DirecTivo)...
Mine started right on time and wasn't cut off.

DirecTivo.
Hmmm... wonder if it was a local station decision then. I'm in Madison, WI

Cut off in NJ as well. Had to watch the beginning of American Dad to catch the closing.

Something must have been screwy with DirecTV. I am in Madison, WI and got all of Family Guy with no padding on Charter cable.

I just watched this again and saw that building you were talking about. Not sure if it's supposed to be the WTC or not, but there are like 5 burn spots, so if it is, it doesn't seem accurate. And there are other buildings too.

It was the opposite for me, the beginning was cut. The beginning of American Dad was on durin the end of Family Guy's slot.

Gotta say that other than the Meg stuff this was a way below average ep, I hope this is only a small transgression on the writers part.

Good morning, Hebrews and Shebrews...isn't this a glorious Jewish day?
I saw all the coupons in the Sunday paper...lots of good deals there...
And last week, I was shopping, and they wanted $800 for a TV, but I 'ussed' them down to $500!
OMG! As a Jewish person, I laughed myself silly! They are so crazy on that show!
I agree, the Meg thing (and I have to say, Brian too) was lame, but the cutaways? Brilliant!

Loved Chris Vader and Meg's Lesbian haircut (which didn't last very long).
I was surprised that was actually Frank Sinatra Jr.

Jewish person here too. I thought it was hillarious, the "Ussed them down" was great. I must confess, growing up in NYC, I never heard that term. It was only when I moved to Arizona that I heart that, and it offended the heck out of me. Just about any other show couldn't get away with that (and I'm sure some people were offended), but since the spoof just about everything, I didn't get offended. South Park regurlaly gets away with similar type things.

I liked how he got out of jury duty by acting like a racist.
"awful lot of honkeys here today"

For another off-color reference to the 4-letter word that starts with C and rhymes with "Funt"...
So Meg joins the "club" that meets on Tuesday; there's the poster with her picture up on the wall/locker/whatever... At the bottom of the poster it says "See You Next Tuesday"... Spell it out.
See (C)
You (U)
Next (N)...
Uh, I think you've got it now.
funny!!!

Finally got to watch it. My couple of LOL moments - Stewie's scene with his ear and the lesbian kiss scene in Meg's room when Quagmire & Chris stumble out of the closet. :p
Great episode!

Roger on American Dad also referred to a woman as a real "see you next tuesday" a few episodes ago. A co-worker of mine cracks up over the movie Madagascar when the zebra falls and yells "sugar honey ice-tea!"
Fox 45 HD in Baltimore keeps running five second promos about three minutes before the end of all their sunday shows. It cuts in right during a joke every time. Drives me crazy.

Did anyone notice the line where they said, "Magic Johnson is doing so well he's only got one AID"? I thought that was rather humorous.

I was kind of partial to the scene where Peter was balking around the kitchen table throwing distractions (plates and such) in the path of Brian.
Then suddenly he just rips Stewie out of his high chair and whips him on Brian's head.

John Goodman must have ticked off somebody on this show. That was harsh!
