The Requisite New AD Poll

So I keep hearing that IF AD comes back, certain members of the cast will be gone. Will Arnett has about 4,000 movies lined up and reportedly wants to move on (check out his listing on IMDB).

In your humble opinions, who is integral to keep the show going?


I think George Michael and Tobias must stay and that the writers are clever enough to make up for the loss of anyone else (although GOB will be hard).

Obviously, I misread it. I thought we were picking who had to leave. Since he's the cornerstone of the show, I have to say Michael. His disappearance would be the hardest to explain.

I've never watched the show, but considering how I keep hearing it's critically acclaimed, the simple thing to do with any character where the actor playing the part needs to leave is to kill the character. Deal with it like real life -- an unexpected, unanticipated death -- and move on exactly like it'd be in real life with the death of someone otherwise integral to your life.

That would be a little harder in this case because he's like the force that keeps the action moving. He's not exactly the star because they all are, it's hard to explain unless you've watched it. That's probably why he's winning. Also, Jason Bateman is great in the role.

Gob could leave the show by disappearing in a magic trick.

I've never watched the show, but considering how I keep hearing it's critically acclaimed, the simple thing to do with any character where the actor playing the part needs to leave is to kill the character.
You could also have the character relocate, which leaves the door open for a return if the opportunity arises thereby avoiding the "Bobby Ewing- it was just a dream" scenario.
