Tivo on its side?

I recently placed my Dirct Tv Tivo on its side, insted of flat. Just wondering will keeping it on its side cause any harm/issues??
The problem I ran into was with the TV and the Tivo on my dresser there was hardly any room for the stuff thats suppose to go there................

Not a problem. Three of our five are like that.

I put a strip of rubber (cut up mouse pad) under each for the vibration.

TiVo should be just fine on its side. Just make sure not to block the vents.

Just to chime in, I've had my R10 (ya, the one that can't be hacked,(c'mon you propeller heads) on it's left side (power supply towards top) for almost a year. Still works great, (for a non hacked DVR)........ :(
