Yet another Optical Out Question

Greetings,

I purchased a new Home Theater Sound system, and now I can hook my Dtivo into the optical out if I wish. I've done a search, and know the pluses and minuses.

The thing I'm wondering, is can I use BOTH the optical and the RCA outs? IE, use the reciever when I'm home, but if the wife is home, and doesn't want to bother with firing up the reciever, could I leave the RCA plugs hooked into the TV, and still use those when needed? Or is it an either/or thing?

You can use both, just remember to turn on the optical port in the menu under Settings > Audio > Dolby Digital.
