When I ripped my CD's to iTunes I did it in the AAC format. Of course Tivo can not read AAC and needs MP3. I need to convert my AAC files to MP3. Has anyone used the software called dBpowerAmp Music Converter?

And if I change everything to MP3 and then synch my iPod in iTunes will download the MP3's okay.

iTunes can convert your AAC files to MP3. Go to Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced Tab -> Importing Tab -> Select Import Using MP3 Encoder -> OK. Select all the files you want to convert to MP3, right-click them, and select convert selection to MP3. And yes, my iPod uses nothing but MP3's.

There's also a plug in that lets your Tivo play non-protected ACC files.

Thanks, I will try this and report back.

This is a pretty spiffy tool that will create MP3s from your protected content:

Set a batch of songs to be converted, and when you come back, they're also in MP3 format. Magic! And it has a high-speed mode, too.
