Series 3 DVD burner?

Ack, I was all set to buy a Humax 80 hr DVD burner tomorrow, but I just happened to see this stuff about Series 3 (total non techie here). Does this new thing you're all talking about have a DVD burner in it? If not, do you think I should wait?

THe only model on display doesn't... wonder if they'd bother with a SD-DVD burner/player, or just wait a year or so for Blu-ray or HD-DVD to grow in market and drop in size and price?

you won't see the new one until mid to late 2006, and there is no word on models with DVD. I would go ahead and get the current model and mull over the lifetime vs. monthly since it is s 23 month break even. However with lifetime you could resell it on ebay and recoup that
