Using a universal remote with two Tivo's in the same room.

I can't figure out how (if it's even possible) to assign a different code for each Tivo with the universal remote. The remote is a One For All model URC 6131nw. Any help would be much appreciated.

The only way with your remote is to mail it back in to One For All and they will add the additional codes for the different remote addresses. I did this for the same remote just today. Call One For All at to get a ticket number to set this up.

Exactly, you need to have it upgraded by UEI. only cost to you is shipping there, Ohio. turnaround is a week. If you were to get the OFA urc-6820 or 8820, they have preset codes for tivo addresses 1-4.

If you are technically inclined, you could add the EEPROM, JP1 connector, and jumper yourself, build a JP1 cable, nd upgrade it yourself.
