I just love the quote in the page referenced..

"Networks like NBC have long hated that their shows could be recorded..."

That doesn't jive with the fact that NBC is a significant and early investor in TIVO.

It also doesn't jive with the fact that several key players at TIVO (Yudkovitz, Rogers) came directly from NBC. (In my opinion, in part, to watch over the NBC investment..)

I called it a big dumb stupid draft back a month ago. the fact that two reps took the draft from the lobby group and just rubberstamped their names on it says a lot about the chances for the bill. But writing or calling is still a very good way to let represenatives know we are watching this stupidity
