Poor video on rear projection TV

I just bought a 2nd TIVO.

I wanted to put the old one on my Sony rear projection TV downstairs. (hard drive is noisy and wanted the quieter new one in my bed room)

The video from the TIVO on the Sony TV is all messed up. Alternating bands of red, yellow, blue. This TIVO works fine with a 20"JVC.

New TIVO works fine on Sony.

Tried both RCA plugs and coax output with same result. Any ideas?

Try S Video to the Sony and see if that helps. It sounds like a cable issue or something with the input used. I have three Tivos and they all work equally on my Mitz HD RPTV.
