What's the backdoor code to enable PC to Tivo transfers?

There isn't one as far as I know. You need to have v7.2x software on your Series 2 standalone TiVo & TivoDesktop v2.2 on your PC.

You definately need to do something on the tivo to have the server show up because a power outage reboot my tivo and now my server is gone.

I thought it was something more like "Go to the settings page" and then 0-0 clear clear or something, or 0-0 enter enter??

I believe that was prior to the official release, you had to do the tivo remote key sequence.
Can you view music & pictures on your PC ok from the Tivo?

I believe you are both correct. Select then start is for a two player game!
