Was a the video store the other day and saw "Starman" video cover. Then it pop in my head, =) I used to watch some TV series around the same time starman was out. It could be Starman the Tv series but I remember it was a team of peope trying to avoid the government? Didn' they all =) Anyways I think they rode in an Icecream truck or some sort of truck with freezer because one of them team memeber would overheat or something if he uses his power. Sound familar to anyone?

Are you sure it was not an RV. There was one with a Teen boy and an older man in an RV.That would be "Shazam!", which was a Saturday morning TV show that had both live and animated segments.
But I don't think that's the show the OP is talking about.

reading this thread reminded me of all the shows mentioned but also of 'war of the worlds' tv series on in the 80's. it was funny because it was soooo obviously produced in canada and had a female lead as the alien aggressor that also starred in a vampire series shot and actually placed in toronto or somewhere in canada, in this series she was the person who did autopsies.
i did like the alien scenes in 'war of the worlds', especially whey they would talk to thier wierd floaty head w' 1 eye god.

You probably won't get anything from a wishlist. It's been a long time since I saw any Misfits of Science on TV. I did pull a few eps off of bittorrent a while back and, surprisingly, they weren't that bad. One other show I'd suggest from around that era was Voyagers. I always loved that show. :)

Oh, believe me, it was considered pure cheese even for back then. There were good reasons to cancel it after four or five episodes.

Oh, believe me, it was considered pure cheese even for back then. There were good reasons to cancel it after four or five episodes.I watched an episode of "Shazam!" when the Sci-Fi Channel or some other channel was having some sort of misguided retro moment. If you think "Misfits of Science" was cheesy, you should have seen "Shazam!" I was absolutely mortified that I had spent any of my precious childhood watching that show. And this from someone who generally likes cheesy shows. :o

Loved it! :)

I am a northern neighbor! Hi!
Oh and Starman was a great movie (well a cheesie great movie) that starred Karen Allen and Jeff Daniels. It is a funny movie for me because my hubby has a baseball hat and jacket like the Starman wears....and he looks like Jeff Daniels. (no I don't look like karen allen). I didn't know it was a tv show...but I wouldn't be surprised.

There was a Starman TV series that stared Robert Hays from 'Airplane' fame.
