No rightside sound out of tivo

Anyone ever run into a problem of 1sided audio with there TiVo? I can only get sound from the left speakers. All connections are in, speakers are connected, tested by tuning to FM, Is it possible for the TiVo to malfunction and drop a side of sound?

Try reversing the red and white lines to your AV receiver and see if the sound now fails on the left side. If it does, then you have a bad cable. If not, then the output jack on the TiVo has a loose connection or has failed. That input on the AV receiver may also be bad, try a different set of inputs.

Yes, I've had that happen. Either Tivo decided to just record one channel of audio, or the Comcast digital receiver decided to just spit out one channel of audio.

I discovered the issue adter tearing apart my setup trying to find the problem. I changed to a live channel and the other channel was back.

I've never had the problem on the Tivo connected to just analog cable.
